Testimonials

“I have tried several weight loss methods, and this one is by far the easiest to follow, the most delicious and has given me the most rapid and safe weight loss to date. My energy levels have soared, the fat is melting away rapidly, my skin tone has improved and I feel better than I have felt in a long time. I have lost 18 lbs in only 6 weeks! ”

– Connie Covelli, Tecumseh

“I had an amazing facial with Brianne. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She did a fantastic job with all aspects of the appointment and my skin feels smooth and clean! I have had many facials at different spas – and I can honestly say I have had some not so great experiences. Brianne was amazing and so was the effects of the silk peel!

Last but not least- the girls at the front desk are always smiling and welcoming!!”

– Martina Recine

“I had always been a sun worshiper, but the SilkPeel was great! It lightened a lot of the pigmentation and my freckles… My skin felt especially soft, it also was tighter and the pores seemed to shrink. I would recommend it to anybody – it just was a fantastic experience “.

– Mary E.

“I love getting my regular massages, however I am so happy that I took the advice of my esthetician and tried a Spa Ritual Body Scrub & Wrap. What a wonderful experience. My skin feels smoother than I could have imagined and it was more relaxing than I anticipated. I think this is a must treatment for everyone at least twice a year. We all deserve it”.

– KP, LaSalle

Frequently Asked Questions

To ensure optimal waxing results, the length of the hair to be waxed should be ¼ – ½ inches. For most body parts, you should stop shaving for at least two weeks for most areas, with the underarms being the exception with a week and a half of growth being acceptable in most cases. If you are waxing a large body area, such as the legs, be sure to exfoliate lightly 24 hours prior to your appointment time. This allows the hairs hidden underneath the skin to pop up for the best wax. NO HARSH EXFOLIATION IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO WAXING.

Most people find that waxing offers a strong immediate stinging effect which quickly subsides. Some people find taking ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to treatment helps with the pain during the service. It may also help to reduce any post wax inflammation of the skin. In extreme circumstances, you may be advised to take a histamine blocker prior to your appointment. Consult with your esthetician if your post wax reaction lasts longer than 24 hours. You may be a candidate for this precaution.

Exfoliation sloughs off dead dry skin cells and makes way for new living cells. It’s a good habit, even without waxing, to exfoliate your skin. In terms of waxing, it allows the new hairs to grow through the skin and not get caught beneath the dead layers. By exfoliating you are doing your part to prevent ingrown hairs to develop. Sometimes ingrown hairs are not appeased by simple exfoliation; rather they need a topical product to help clean out the pores. Most cleansers with 2% salicylic acid are a great partner to use with your scrub device. We have several excellent products available to help you with exfoliation. Consult with your esthetician for more detailed suggestions.
